Summer Vacation
As the school year comes to a close consider whether you and your children are prepared for the changes summer can bring?
Summer vacation is often a time of freedom for youth, fewer rules and less supervision. With a few safeguards in place, parents and their children, regardless of age, can have a safe and productive summer.
Four things to remember:
***What kind of structure is in place for your child's day? Will there be supervision? What do you know about the care giver.
***What type of social activities are planned for your child? Are they age appropriate?
***If your child is older; will they have a summer job? What do you know about the place of employment?
***Knowledge is power; parents, you and your children will have a calmer and more enjoyable summer experience when you follow the who, where, and how of summer.
---who will they spending their time with?
---where will they spending their time?
---how will they be spending their time?
Have a safe and enjoyable summer vacation.
